What a splendid day of racing in the beautiful Wicklow Mountains, and mountains they are. Got a great welcome from the organizers Bray Wheelers and after studying the map of the course I decided to follow Sean Rowe in to the maze of the hills around Laragh, Sean knew how to get the most out of the race and we did ! Thanks so much Sean, if I would have done it on my own, I probably still be there .. The race was over 150km with a very hard climb near the end. On the top the Memorial Stone of Shay Elliot, surrounded by hundreds of supporters cheering the lads on. A rush to the finish to get the A3 final moments of the 90kms + as we did with plenty of time to spare. Very pleased to see graduate 2017 Michael Mc Glynn returning to good form, had some bad luck lately, and second place will give his confidence a boost, taking the KOH Jersey and the Sprint Jersey in the Ken Duffy Memorial race in to his stride.  An hour to spare at the line, with coffee and biscuits for all who wanted it..thanks so much to all the volunteers who could not do enough for us. And then the Main race at the horizon, only one color to see, the blue of Viner-Caremark-Pactimo!! Ronan and Matteo got away from the 4 man break slightly and Ronan this time took the honors applauded by his friend Matteo who was so pleased for his mate, nearly some tears of happiness shown by our Italian friend and sponsor of the project. Then back to the headquarters in Bray for a feast of cakes, cakes and more cakes!!! I am on a diet but today was a rest day ..lol.. A 3 hour drive home and absolute knackered. Here some photos added but plenty more will appear tomorrow after a rest..Well done Bray Wheelers..no wonder this race is high on each riders calendar..hard technical course with leg killing climbs..                 Ken Duff Memorial
