Not much changed today at the Junior Tour, stage 4 had a few breakaway’s, notable the efforts of Mark Wright from the Leinster Team, but all been reeled in by the leading and chasing bunch as the Hot Tubes USA Team controlled the front in demanding style..it came back to a 3th bunch sprint of the week..Luke Lamperti of Team Swift got the better of Rickardo Broxham( South Africa National team) and in 3th place Shay Donley (Irish National team) at the finish in Ballyvaughan, Co Clare. Shay reclaimed his point jersey, and his team mate Cathir Doyle kept his KOH jersey despite not scoring any point in the Cat 3 climb of the day ..This was the longest stage with about 125km covered and seeing so many first year juniors easy enough taking such distance, A2 races for the qualified juniors has now produced good results in international racing!! He is training hard in County Clare and uses the Junior tour circuit as a training ground so he wouldn’t be distracted by his thousands of fans here in N-Ireland. Wearing the 80’ties designed Belgian National team jersey and reproduced by Bio Racer, Toby slowly coming to the form he had decades ago. We maybe change our rules of selection of the belgian project and send him to Belgium for the summer..due to his age he will not need guest parents..lol .Here below Cathir getting greeted by his Maghera supporters..The brothers O’ Reilly raising money for Marie Curie in the Mezin to Malin charity sportive ( photo courtesy of Ryan O’ Reilly’s facebook page)
