Another fine display of the juniors in Belgium..Irish Champ Adam Ward shows his sprinting skills this time and wins in style the Junior kermesse in Kruishoutem (east flanders). 90 entries with a very international feel to it included the 3 Irish juniors Cathir Doyle, Cian May as BP graduates and Adam Ward as the current irish junior champ. Adam was in the winning break of 7 and they had no answer to his fast and winning sprint..Cathir won the sprint for 8th place in the second group om the road and Cian May safely tucked in the bunch in 60th place (no point of sprinting for minor places) but worked hard to keep his fellow Irishmen up front..Job well done lads..They all gonna be mayor players in the coming Tour of Wales for juniors I bet ..you can not have a better preparation for big races !! All photos from Martine Verfaillie and hereby thanking all guest parents for the dedication and support again this year..merciĀ Belgian supporter Mario De Poortere ( who is actualy a long transplant patient) helping out with the bidons..Mario is known in Belgian races as “Pantani” as he dresses like him when training on the road..thanks mateĀ The cat got the cream look..4 wins and not home yet!!
