Britain’s Nicola Juniper (TC Racing) has taken her second win at the Rás na mBan 2018. Nicola needed all her experience to win stage five in Kilkenny City Centre last night ! A race in very wet condition with some crashes came to a good end for the winner of Stage 3. The GC leader Coralie Demay from France has a meager 2 seconds in hand to Nikki and this two should battle it out today in the last stage. A classy performance from the British girl who guest ride for Tom Clogher’s TC racing and rewarded Tom with 2 stage wins already..Can she pounce one more time..we will see..Lauren Creamer was best of the Irish on the night with a prominent display at each stage so far..but the girl who impress us all is 16 year old Maeve Gallagher from Mayo who with ease compete with the elite including the pro’s in the race..She is leading the Domestic Irish rider GC ! Maeve is also Irish Junior Champion middle distance running and a very successful in the triathlon scene in Ireland..Her brother and also junior Conor winning last month a kermesse in Belgium while having a racing summer there…amazing talent who got silver in the Irish Junior Champs in Sligo (Gold went to Lara Gillespie) The Castlebar young lady  has been selected for the Worlds Champs this year in Austria together with Lara and the pair could do very well for Ireland. Results courtesy of the Ras na mBan time keepers and featured photo’s from John Hammer ..thanks and appreciated. Photo of Maeve Gallagher and her junior friends here below taken in Sligo last June at the Irish Champs.
