Not a bad day for the Irish at the Olympic Track Stadium London with Ryan Fintan  stealing the headlines with a magic win in the Derny Race. A bold move in the last lap with his derny pilot attacking at the outside of the track was a winning move and pipped them all on the line. Well done and another splendid win of an Irish youngster amid the seasoned pro’s after Xeno Youngs win Thursday in the U21 CUP. His team mate JB Murphy also going well with a second in the team elimination event together with Ryan who JB is coupled with for the 6 day. In the women’s race Shannon Mc Curley (Photo above of David Mc Veigh) got a respectable 4th in the Scratch race as best result so far for this talented girl. Her team mate and neo pro Alice Sharp got a 9th in that race (24 competitors). Overall Dutch “Queen of the Boards” Kirsten Wild leading the womens 6 day in a very dominating fashion.
