After a far to long break of action we back in the fields this Sunday (9 December 2018) for the Ulster CX Champs in Dungannon promoted by Island Wheelers. As the Belgian Project has been attending the whole Ulster series bar one ( X-MTB CX due to other commitments) we will be present at Windmill Woods looking after the commentating of the Champs with some nifty new tunes to go with and of course our usual photos to with a guest photographer on duty. Description: This is the sixth year that Island Wheelers have ran a cyclo-cross race (and support races) at Windmill Wood in Dungannon. The club wish to thank the ongoing support of the local council. The course takes in the grass area near one of the car parks before utilizing the woods and paths. The Youth courses (Under 6s up to Under 12s) are self contained within the main course so riders competing on the main course can have lots of time to practice.
Under 12 Car Park (Subject to Space) From M1 Junction 15 take the A29 signposted for Dungannon. Follow this road to you reach the second set of traffic lights with the 24hr filling station on your right. Go straight on at lights and in approx. 200 yards you will take a right into a small cul-de-sac that leads into the top car park at Windmill Wood. Main Event Car Park (It is advised that competitors ride to sign-on, otherwise it’s a 5 min walk) From M1 Junction 15 take the A29 signposted for Dungannon. Follow this road until you reach the second set of traffic lights with the 24hr filling station on your right. Take right onto the Gortmerron Link Road then take an immediate left onto Cunninghams Lane. Follow this road to the end and take left onto the Killyman Road. Take left immediately after Killymerron Park into the main car park. Race licence: Cycling Ireland riders must hold a 2018 licence either a Limited Competition (LC) or Full Competition (JR, A4, A3, A2, A1, A+). Youth riders must have a current 2018 licence.
Licences must be presented at sign on.
For non-Cycling Ireland licence holders, please ensure you have a 2018 licence from your federation then email a copy of your licence to the race director before pre-entry closes.
NOTE: There are no one-day licences available for championship categories (Under 14s, Under 16s, Junior, Senior or Masters)
