David Conroy is poised to do well and had some bad luck lately, but finally has a bit more lady luck on his side, with a top 15 last week in Germany he got now a top 10 result in England and this must be very welcomed by the Scott-Eurocycles.com full time rider. From his home from home in Moorslede Belgium he told social media >>> Finally got round to doing a National Trophy this season. Always great organisation and good competition. Ipswich is just a short trip from my Belgium base so I skipped Overijse in search of points. Nice course with two big bridges the only elevation on an otherwise flat and fast course. Rode really nice but would have preferred some mud to make for a more interesting race. Took the hole-shot and led an aggressive first lap hoping to split the field and force a small front group for the exposed and windy half of the course. Unfortunately rode a little too hard and wasn’t able to jump when the attacks started on the second lap. Race split into lots of little groups of two and three riders with gaps between groups small. Not my style of racing but really happy with my race. Felt strong and ended up 9th Elite and 4th U23. Happy to pick up a couple UCI points and get in a good speed training session too.  Next up DVV Scheldecross , David <<<
