While we have the mud in Ireland in abundance David Conroy would love the same in the Flemish Fields..After been chasing the front due to a slip of the pedal and on a fast course he still managed a 38th place out of 64 top UCI cyclo cross espoirs in the Antwerp’s DVV series Cross, and finishing in the same lap as winner Niels Vandeputte (IKO-Beobank), one thing is for sure..he will be ready for the Nationals in Cork next month and aiming for Gold..here his view of yesterday’s race >>
DVV Scheldecross today. Freezing cold and a dry course made for fast racing. Fluffed the start after slipping a pedal. Chased back up the field to 38th from 75 starters. Another speed training session. Really would like some mud at this stage. Middle of December and I’ve only had 3 muddy races. Hopefully that changes for WC Namur next weekend says David..<< More brilliant photos of Martine (https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.514754122364722) with thanks
