Belgian guest mother Martine Verfaillie has some extra guests this week with father and son Nolan from the Navan RC for 2 races around the festive time. Her other poulain David Conroy was crossing in Loenhout (Antwerp) on Friday and managed a 36th out of 77 entries. This time only 2m 12s away from the winner Ben Turner (GB) so getting closer to a result he thoroughly deserves. Sean Nolan had his first CX race in Belgium yesterday ( Kerniel-Borgloon Limburg) The Juniors Cross was part of the National Calendar Class C and a good preparation for his next big ask in the GP Sven Nys http://www.sport.be/gpsvennys/nl/ on new years day for the UCI Junior CX. David will race in the same event in the U/23 section. Sean was in second position in lap 2 and involved in a crash on the tarmac but still managed a 9th place and some road rash to take home with him..no serious injuries but a painful few days ahead I am sure. Knowing Sean he will be motivated for his next race, certainly he will do his best to make this experience count in the future..Good luck to them both on New Years Day. In bottom of report I embedded a video of the Beertent in Loenhout CX last friday ..a must to see!

Dit is Loenhout gisteren om 14.50 u. Niet om middernacht of nog later, nee…gewoon half de middag. Ja de Azencross is een sportevenement maar vooral een feestje. Enkel in Loenhout 💪🏼(Kijk tot het einde). Proficiat Golazo & Bevers catering !
