David Conroy (U23) and Sean Nolan (Junior) both entered the GP Sven Nys in Baal (near Brussels) and both did what they could in their respective races. David had tired legs as been racing twice a week for the last months and heavy training between. He is now taken it easy before the weekend as 2 more  races to come, one in Gullegem West Flanders (organised by the crew of “Gullegem Koerse” whom is renowned as the most popular kermesse in Europe) on Saturday and one in Brussels (new one on the UCI calendar) on Sunday before returning to Ireland for the Nationals next weekend in Cork. With 4 months of UCI races under his belt, he should be one of the favourites for taking the National Jersey. His adopted mum Martine will accompany him to Munster and we all looking forward to meeting her again on Irish soil. Sean had a sore body and aching wounds after his crash in Kerniel last week and still managed a 34th out of 40 entries and just like David avoided the 80% rule, they finished both the race on the same lap as the winners ( David 44th of 60 entries) Anyone of Ireland who has been involved in such high-level races will know that is good going. Sean is now returning home with his dad after staying a week in Moorslede with Martine. Well done to both
