Day 1 off the CX Champs 2019 didn’t disappoint at the beautiful grounds of Fota House gardens who is situated between Cork and Cobh. Never been in this area of Ireland and defiantly worth the 5-hour drive from the North of the Island. It brought together the best of our youth and the very grassy course made it a fast one for all our talented youngsters. The north was very much present and made very welcome by our Munster guests “De Ronde van Cork Cycling Club” They have put all the stops out to serve us with a beauty of a CX course in the grounds of the Fota House situated near a harbour called Cobh (Last place the Titanic landed before his fatal journey over hundred years ago) Here already some pictures of yesterday’s procedures and results courtesy of the judges ( http://www.offroadcyclingireland.ie/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/Irish_National_Youth_Cyclo_cross_championships_2019_Results.htm ) and full story in the coming days, as we now getting prepared for the Main Races of the Nationals today (13th January)with the Women’s Elite & Juniors, the veteran races and the finale with the Men Elite. With the visit of my good friend and guest mother of the project Martine Verfaillie present we can look forward to her photos next week. Also do the world of good for my flemish …talk later..
