With the cycling road racing season only a mere six weeks away attention turns to pre-season training and the now key pre-season reliability runs as the racing fraternity look for some clues to who will be the early season front runners

The Reliability Run offers two routes either 60 or 75 miles taking the cyclist on a loop out towards Enniskillen, Kesh and then back over Scraghey, Drumquin and home.  OmaghWheelers will, as usual, provide full support for riders and welcome refreshments on return.  Sign on at Youth Sport on the Cookstown road out of Omagh will open at 8.45am with first bikes away at 9.30am

For those leisure Cyclists in love with their bikes the “Valentines Run” is the perfect way to start the season.  Two routes are on offer with the more energetic leisure cyclist embarking on a 50 mile spin and for those maybe just getting back on the bike after the winter break or wanting to give it a go the wheeler offer a nice 30 mile spin – Both routes follow a similar start with the leisure peloton heading through the town towards Dromore and Mini Burns – The 30 mile route will loop back through Drumquin while the 50 milers get to tackle Scraghey from the less intimidating Ederney side.  Romantic gifts are on offer for the most appropriately attired leisure cyclists. Full support provided. Sign on open at Youth Sport at 9.00am with bikes away at 9.45am
