A1-A2 race:
On another day when the weather played a central role, we had rain, sleet, snow and hailstones as well as sunshine at different stages over the 3hr. 20 min race. From the start, nine riders broke from the bunch and they were never headed after this. On lap 3 of 4 Conor Hennebry, Morrissey McCarthy Pactimo and Arminas Meskauskas, Panduit Carrick Wheelers rode away from the break to decide this race. Paul Kennedy, Newcastlewest CC made a brave effort to get across to the 2 leaders but had to settle for 3rd over 2 minutes behind the 1st two. On the last lap, Conor rode away from Arminas to claim the win on his own with Arminas taking a fine 2nd.
