Cycling Ireland told us this morning: There will be radical changes in the Cycling Ireland racing calendar/racing structure in 2025. To inform race promoters Cycling Ireland are rolling out four provincial meetings to explain how this will work and the implications for race organisers (Wednesday 18th September)

Cycling Ireland told us this morning: There will be radical changes in the Cycling Ireland racing calendar/racing structure in 2025. To inform race promoters Cycling Ireland are rolling out four provincial meetings to explain how this will work and the implications for race organisers (Wednesday 18th September)

These meetings will be interactive and informative and will outline the changes for 2025 and the opportunities that will be available to promoters including:
1st. New road racing plans
2nd. New event categorisation
3rd. New calendar structure
4th. New permit application system
The meetings are as follows:
Leinster
Location: Sport Ireland Campus HQ Building, Co. Dublin
Date: Monday, 7th of October Start Time: 19:00
Munster
Location: Greenmount Race Course, Co. Limerick Date: Tuesday, 8th of October
Start Time: 19:00
Ulster
Location: Quinn’s Corner, Co. Tyrone Date: Wednesday, 9th of October
Start Time: 19:00
Connacht
Location: Abbey Hotel, Co. Roscommon Date: Tuesday, 15th of October
Start Time: 19:00

A story of a global known sport photographer from Waterford, and his famous dogs! Meet Hugh de Paor (ex-cyclist), and his Jack Russell’s Terriers, Sir Barney the third, and Bobby Buttons the Fourth. Sir Barney has 36 marathon medals representing animal welfare!! He was awarded the Dublin Lord Mayoral Scroll a few years back…we met up in Clonmel at the UCI cross (Sunday 13th Oct) as he was covering the women’s race!
