Great news received from Cascais Portugal last night…the first medal been awarded to Team Ireland at the Worlds Para-cycling Champs with Katie-George Dunlevey and Eve Mc Crystal (Pilot) taking Silver in the Women’s Tandem TT. They finished the 33.6 km distance in 48minutes 59 seconds and only 31 seconds away from Gold…Katie told her social media followers “ đŸ„ˆin the time trial at the Road World Championships! Not what we were here for but hugely proud of us and our medal after what has been a long time without any racing. Loved being back at it with @evemccrystal and on a very windy motor racing course which was kinda fun đŸ€ȘđŸ„”. Onwards and upwards. A stepping stone to Tokyo. Road race on Saturday which I am extremely excited about” Knowing the girls, they will be encouraged with such results after such a long time away from international competition and will be the ones to watch in the road race this weekend.
