Entry numbers for the Travers Eng. Annacone GP are disappointingly low; an all too familiar trend.
Based on current numbers we’re likely to be running the event as a single handicap race accommodating all categories. That’s not our preference, and we’re pretty sure it’s not the rider’s either. We are considering at an A1/A2 handclapped race alongside an A3/A4 handicap race, but we need the entry numbers to support it. We’ll make that call in the next 24 hrs or so, so we can plan accordingly.

Phoenix GP 2024 returns to its traditional Nutts corner circuit. Its sure to be a hard and fast test, one for the breakaway men and the sprinters to open up their legs. This year the race will once again finish on Lylehill with a short and punchy drag to the line. The B9 Energy Storage Tour of Ards will start in Portaferry and consist of 5 laps around the southern part of the Ards Penninsula. The Race HQ is Portaferry GAC (3 Ballyfounder Rd, BT22 1NS), and the race will finish on Windmill Hill (near the race HQ) There will be generous cash prizes for first 6 places, plus prizes for first Junior and first A3 rider. Sarah Fagan was a member of CuChulainn CC and Setanta Triathlon Club. Sarah died tragically whilst racing in France last summer.
