What’s on road racing wise this Easter Weekend in Ireland? + some events in April already open for entry. For the Belgian Project, it is a long weekend in the Kingdom of Kerry & Co-Cork, this with the international “Dornan Ras Mumhan”, for others it is Gorey for the 3-day…Wishing you all a great, successful and safe Easter…Guímíd Cásca iontach, rathúil agus slán oraibh go léir!!

Marie Curie “Tour of Flanders Fundraiser” A family fun filled day. BBQ, bouncy castle and raffle prizes up for grabs, all for a great cause, in memory of Andy Young, and hosted by “The Bikehouse” Andy was a true lover of cycling, particularly the spring classics, he even told a few ‘stories’ of how he won a few! One of his favorites was the legendary Tour of Flanders which he also ‘won’!
Join us on the day where we will be showing the race live on the big screen from 1.30pm. We are putting on a BBQ for everyone to enjoy, along with cold drinks and coffee, and even a bouncy castle for the kids coming along! Its a full family occasion!
So come along, donate to this great cause and watch the best race of the year live on the big screen!

Back again for 2024 the Cork based Beat You Best TT League is starting April 1st. 6 clubs hosting 12 courses from April to June, best 8 results are counted overall. Riders have 7 days to complete that weeks course whenever they want, as many times as they want, the fastest time will be taken that sunday via the Strava Club. €20 (+10 to upgrade from leisure licence)

April dates!!

The annual Carn Classic road race will take place on Saturday the 6th April 2024. The race will follow the usual route with the same finish. The day will consist of an A2 only, A3 only and A4 /ladies race, with the first group away at 09.00am. Riders to gather no earlier than 8.40 am at the national speed limit sign on the Carricknakielt Road in Maghera. Prize giving will be after each race at the finish line. The event is based from Bellewstown Racecourse, Co Meath (A92EC82). Stage one and stage two starts/finishes at the race course while stage three starts/finishes on the main Duleek – Julianstown Road (nearest house eircode is A92 K521)

The Wallace Caldwell Memorial Road Race 2024 ( Sat 20th April) will take on a new format with racing across all categories. The course for this year will be the BRC Ahoghill circuit with taking fast descents, short punchy climbs and undulating back roads being the order of the day. Daire Feeley (All Human/VeloRevolution) got his 5th win of the season (and we only 3 weeks in!!), and 1st year junior Philip O’Connor (Dungarvan CC) taking 3rd in the A1-2 race!! Annelise Murphy (Longcourt Hotel/NCW Wheelers) got her second win of the season in the women’s version of this classic event!!
