“This is not the start of my career, because I have had good times, but also bad. It is all part of the process. There will be ups and downs, just like in life.” told Eddie to the journalists!! (feature photo courtesy of Sporza TV)
EDDIE DUNBAR DOES IT AGAIN!!! WINNER STAGE 11 AND NOW STAGE 20!!! | The winner of the day is Eddie Dunbar. The Irishman was outside the top 10 in the classification, so was not immediately shadowed. On the steep Picon Blanco he showed no weakness to solo to his 2nd stage victory. | JAYCO-ALULA Eddie Dunbar told Sporza TV: “I said last week that I didn’t expect to win a stage like that. I wanted to win on a climb. So this one is definitely a lot nicer. I felt good. After the Tour of Burgos I knew this climb very well. I rode really hard on the steep parts and held back a bit on the flatter moments. On the penultimate climb they were still reacting to me, so there was no point in riding on. On the Picon Blanco they gave me some freedom“ | |
