*The Wicklow Tigeress* LARA GILLESPIE wins gold at the "2025 UEC European Track Championships in Heusden-Zolder Belgium" yesterday (13th Feb) in the Elite women Elimination race!!!! This to add to her already very impressive CV Lara is the first ever Irish Track Cyclist to do so!! The pursuit team with Emma Jeffers, Erin Creighton, Esther Wong, Aoife O’Brien got a respectable 8th!!

Foreword Dany ” I met Lara since she was a junior, and even got her a Belgian Project bursary around that time, as I knew something was special about her, travelling with her mum all over Ireland with their old and massive camper van, knocking up wins right, left and center. Even shared a podium at the CI awards in West Dublin in 2019, which I am so proud of!! And look at Lara now…World Tour Pro, and already top results with her UAE ADQ team, multiple European Champ at Junior, Espoir and elite level, not forgetting bronze at world track champs in 2024, including an Irish Road Champ win in 2023…and I think their is so much more to come” so well done Lara xx
