Youth Racing at his best in County Meath (Bellewstown-Julianstown area) with the “Rás na nÓg 2025” promoted by Jons Drogheda Wheelers with support of CI and Cycling Leinster. Over 100 riders participated with clubs traveling from Munster, Connacht, Ulster, and Leinster off-course!! (Sat 22nd-Sun 23rd March)

NextThe 2025 “COOMBES CONNOR MEMORIAL” of last Sunday (23rd March) was held in the Bellewstown area of Co-Meath, and promoted by Jons Drogheda Wheelers. The C3 had a massive entry of 120, and won in Sam Bennett style by Lee Harvey (VC Glendale) The C2 was won by 1st year junior Curtis mc Kee (Spellman-Dublin Port) his third win of the season!! The C1 was won by Gareth O’Neill (Athlete Nutrition Coach HD) whom opened his account this season…

Tadej Pogacar (SLOV) defied all cycling laws, with a very bold attack, and  100 km to go in the Men Elite World Champs in Zurich today! POGI became the 3rd man in Cycling history to win the TDF, Giro and the Worlds in the same year (Triple Crown) Stephen Roche & Eddy Merckx the others!! Ben Healy done Ireland proud with his chase to the front, but caught in the last lap by the favourites, still managing a 7th place in a sprint for Bronze!! (Sun 29th Sept)

A song for Dr. Fred…The Cathedral CX (Final round Ulster CX league) in the city of Armagh, and promoted by Square Wheels got unexpected entertainment when Johnny Mc Cabe took the microphone and broke into a song about Dr.Fred Macsorley MBE who was racing in the B-race!! Just one of this magic moments you never forget…(Sunday 4th Dec)
