What’s on in April we know of? Plenty of action in all provinces, unfortunately the Gorey 3-day at Easter is cancelled due to lack of sufficient entries. Award night in Ulster, some sportive’s, track, stage racing in Munster, and plenty of one-day races on the menu, including a new TT league in Ulster for women only!!

The Wallace Caldwell Memorial Road Race 2025. Saturday 12th April Start 11 am!! It will keep the same course as last year, however the race categories and format will change slightly. The course will be the BRC Ahoghill circuit, with short punchy climbs and undulating back roads being the order of the day. This event will consist of a F200, Scractch Race, and Mile with all points going forward to a Points Race. Riders will be allocated to separate categories and compete within that category towards section and overall prize. Our aspiration is to have competitive groups of similar numbers, grouped by ability. We will have a separate Women’s section subject to entry level and spread of abilities. Donegal Bay Spring Sportive The “Spring Sportive” was first run in 2013 and proved very popular attracting 200 participants. With the option of three routes, there is something for everyone. Taking in the scenic roads of South West Donegal, our Sportive offers stunning scenery, challenging routes, good organisation and great hospitality. All routes will meander along the “Wild Atlantic Way” with the 140K route taking in some of Donegal’s famous “The Bluestack Drive”.

PreviousThe 2025 “Killinchy GP” held on the rolling roads of County Down yesterday (Sat 29th March) had some prolific winners with a second win of the season for John Buller (Banbridge CC) in the C1, a 5th win for Junior Curtis Mc Kee (Spellman-Dublin Port) in the C2, and a win for Fionn Killeen (Kilcullen CC-Murphy Geospacial) in the C3 race. Erin Creighton (Mc Convey Cycles-CI track team) was first women in the C2 , and Elena Wallace (Harps CC) in the C3! Happy Mothers Day to you all!!
