Having taken on board all feedback from the women at our recent forum we are delighted to have a really full and exciting calendar for 2024. We have worked closely with clubs and Cycling Ireland to try and ensure the events we have chosen as women only events are accessible, suitable parcours and distance and do not clash with other events to ensure we get the maximum turn out at each event for 2024. We would like to thank all clubs and members for helping with this. All events also sit on the larger Cycling Ireland website https://www.cyclingireland.ie/events/find-an-event/ where you can see further details and sign on links but we hope having them all in one place here will allow you to plan your season ahead and set your goals for the year. We hope to see you on the road soon with our first event kicking off in Navan Road Club next weekend. Entry for the Seamus Kennedy Memorial Women’s race on https://eventmaster.ie/event/wkGefPySRQ

PreviousDisaster strikes again on Dublin roads last Sunday (18th Feb) The Irish Cycling fraternity has lost another loved one with John Walsh, UCD CC competitive cyclist member, husband, and father of 3 children. John was serious injured after a road collision, and died of his injuries in hospital soon after! Our sincere condolences to his family and friends.
Next“Team Visma-Lease a Bike” showing their intention for 2024!! A double win at the opener of the road season in Belgium!! The “Omloop Nieuwsblad” saw the clever fox *Marianne Vos* taking the women’s edition, followed by the first ever Slovenian *Jan Tratnik* winning the men’s race. Add the win today of Jonas Vingegaard in the “O Gran Camino” 3rd stage in Spain, where Adam Rafferty (EF Education-Easypost) finished a brilliant 24th, about 52 sec down to Jonas!

Mud, rain, sweat, tears and joy…The CX World Cup returned to Dublin last Sunday (26th November) for round 5…Maybe some of the big guns being missing, but that didn’t stop high level battles for the ones who travelled to Ireland…what a show it was!! And well done to our Irish crossers, they certainly can keep their heads high!! The results >>>
