I met Sean only once in Ardee 2 years ago when the Ras had their finish there. We both were sheltering for the rain at a pub entrance while waiting for the race to appear. We had a chat about cycling and Sean was very pleased I asked him if it was OK to take a photo of him (feature photo) Yesterday I find out that he had a crash during last weekend race in Wexford and was fighting for his life in the local hospital, and today his brother Mick sadly had to announce his beloved brother passing away. Mick said ” Our champ passed away 11.06 today. Ride on Sean. ❤️❤️❤️ “
