All races will have a 4.5mile neutralized roll out from Rex Bonar House leaving at 10:30 am sharp. Riders will assemble at Broughshane Community Centre. Races will be lead from here to start line at 30mph national speed limit signs on the Carnlough Road leaving Broughshane. 
1. Elite Men 67miles 2. Junior Male 53.4miles3. M40/M50/M60 40miles
4. Elite Women 40miles5. Junior Female 40miles TBC and started in that order
*Please note that total race numbers per category will determine race groupings. A minimum number of 20 riders will be required to provide a separate race, this will be reviewed when online entries close. This is due to the logistics of races and circuit course being used, as well as race vehicles and marshalling required. The course consists of riders cycling a distance of 5.7 miles and commencing onto a 13.9-mile loop. 53.4-mile distance will cover 3x loops and 40mile distance 2x loops. See map attached of 40-mile race as an example. On the final loop, riders will continue back towards Broughshane village and the finish line is located entering the village. This will be available for riders to see at the start of the race.

There are 3 Separate Races
Race 1: Handicap Race for A1, A2, A3, Junior & Veteran – 72km
Leinster Medals will be awarded to the first 3 in the above categories
Race 2: Women – 42km (In the event of less than 15 women registering this event will be combined with A4 Race)
Leinster Medals for 1st 3
Race 3: A4 – 72km
Prizes for 1st 6 finishers.
Please note there will be no cash prizes.
The event is open to Non-Leinster Riders but they will be ineligible for medals.

The Connacht Road Race Championships will take place in Castlebar on August 25th,

The race caters for A1 A2 A3 A4 Jnr, Ladies, M40, M50, M60.

** Notes For 2019 Connacht Road Cycling Championships**
Eligibility For Connacht Championships
This is an open race, therefore all riders must have a valid full competition CI license to compete. Club membership, club racing and limited competition licenses do not qualify. Licenses must be produced at sign-on.
Riders must have an IRL UCI code and satisfy 1 of the following criteria:
A: Registered with a club based in the Province
B: Unattached but registered and with main address in the Province
C: Previous residency of the Province
It should be noted that those riders satisfying criteria (c) above only, must have the written authority of the relevant Provincial Executive to compete. This must be produced to the commissaire in charge at sign-on.
A rider may compete in one set of Provincial Championships only in any one season.
Categories
Riders are eligible for prizes in one category only and must register in the appropriate category at sign-on. A1, A2, A3, A4, Junior, Ladies, M40, M50, M60.
Masters category medals will be awarded providing there are sufficient entrants in each respective category.
Masters license holders with A4 designation may compete in the A4 race with approval from the race organisation & commissaire.
Riders wishing to compete in the Master’s category must have the appropriate “M” designation on their license and sign on as such. By signing on as a Master they are ineligible for any Senior prize category.
A3, A4 riders with Junior classification may only compete in the Junior category & must sign on as such.
Jerseys
Riders must wear their registered club jerseys. It is forbidden for foreign-registered riders to compete in the jersey of any team other than that which appears on their license.
Failure to adhere to these regulations may result in permission to start the race being withheld. Cycling Ireland grading points will be awarded as per CI regulations based on rider numbers in each race.
