Proud as punch and so Lydia should be, only beaten by Holly Edmondston of New Zealand who took gold, with Olga Zabelinskaya (Uzbekistan) taken Silver. Lydia is no stranger to medals at this level as 2 years ago she took a silver paired with Lydia Boylan in the Madison. She also took a brilliant 7th in the Madison, this time paired with Emily Kay this morning.

Lydia Boylan this time entered in the Omnium event in Cambridge (NZ) and just outside top 10 in 11th.
6th in the Scratch, 9th in the Tempo, and 11th in the Elimination and Point race

Mark Downey and Felix English managed an 8th in the Madison and kept their rivals for a place in Tokyo behind them in 9th (Hong Kong China) and Portugal in 11th.
Robyn Stewart was also in action and was 17th in the Keirin and 18th in the sprint event
Fintan Ryan this time represented Team Ireland in the men scratch and also just outside the top 10 in 11th
