Saturday 4th January 2020: ASD CX Benefit Event at the John O’Sullivan Park Ennis, Co-Clare 10 am promoted by Kilcullen CC
ASD CX is in aid of the cherry blossom room in Ballycar national school. Ballycar N.S. is a 30 pupil rural school which this year opened a new classroom for primary school children who are on the autistic spectrum. The room opened with 3 pupils and in September 2020 will expand to 6. The parents association is fundraising to support the development of the cherry blossom room and to provide extra support so that all the pupils of the school can have a shared educational environment both within the classroom and planned development works to the playground and pitch. The support of your club would be greatly appreciated. The venue is John o Sullivan park, Lee’s Road, Ennis. Which is easily accessible from the motorway via the bypass and has a playground, running track, skate park, tea and coffee and toilets. So it’s perfect for a family day trip. The fifth, and final, round of The Leinster League of CycloCross is at the end of the Festive period. The winners of The Leinster League of CycloCross will be announced. Based on the rider’s best four of five rounds, this could see some big swings in the classification. This round comes a week before the National CycloCross Championships, offering riders a chance to hone their form. The 2020 Cycling Ireland Youth Cyclo-cross Championships and the Cycling Ireland Cyclo Cross Championships are both being held at Castlefield, Enniscrone, County Sligo. The Youth Championships are on Saturday 11 January 2020 and the Junior/Senior/Masters Championships are being held on the Sunday 12 January. Both events are being hosted by Ballina Cycling Club. There are non-championship youth support races on Saturday as well. 2020 licences are required and entry is via the Cycling Ireland Azolve portal. Registration closes on Sunday 5 January 2020.
