The Belgian Project’s co-sponsor Ards CC put all the stops out for their annual spring classic on the 21st of March

Approx 125 km with rolling coastal roads and a venomous climb thrown in for good measure at the local laps in Portaferry (Mountain Road) This very popular spring classic always attracts the top riders of Ulster and many also travel from the South to win this cycling pearl in County Down. This year the main sponsor of the race is the Simon Brien Residential Estate Agents from the local high street http://www.simonbrien.com which will give the prize fund a big boost.

Added prizes coming from Bangor’s https://www.facebook.com/Brownfield-Bike-Repairs-and-Restorations-418673464948212/ and https://www.bioracer.co.uk/ as the provider of the winner jersey

All info will be released in the coming days, including entry online which will open this Sunday the 1st March. It will be open for A*-A1-A2-A3 & Juniors licence holders and 80 entries as max. So keep an eye open. The Belgian Project will act as a media partner to the event as a courtesy towards their continues support towards our beloved project. I personally recommend this to any aspiring junior or Under 23 to enter. The start will be 10:50 am at the St Patrick Parish Hall Newtownards and finish on the Portaferry road opposite the Airfield.

Also a big welcome to new main sponsors of the Ards Cycling club” Boyd Rice solicitors” who have progressed from the clubs event sponsor (Last years TOA main sponsor) to the club’s main sponsor. This sponsorship will ensure that Ards CC can run our open races comfortably and support our club at the many activities ahead. Many thanks, https://www.boydricesolicitors.com/
