The club’s committee told social media: It is with regret that we have decided to cancel the East Tyrone GP due to take place on the 25th of July.
With the current government guidelines and the health risk involved in organising an open race, we made the difficult decision not to run the event. Apologies to anyone wanting to take part in the race. We look forward to seeing you all again in 2021.
Stay safe!

Following a meeting of the club Race Committee last night, it is with regret that Ballymena Road Club must announce the cancellation of the rescheduled 2020 Wallace Caldwell Memorial Road Race, which was due to take place on Saturday 8th August 2020. Officials carried out a comprehensive Risk Assessment, and it became clear that it would have impossible to run a COVID compliant event. This decision has been made in the best interests of riders, volunteers, and staff in line with recent government advice. On behalf of the Ballymena Road Club, we would like to thank everyone for their support. We will continue to keep you updated in the coming weeks regarding the Ulster 10 miles TT Championships on 2nd August (which we feel can be run as a COVID compliant event) and the rescheduled Red Hand Trophy event planned for 26th September.
