The great news was told us this week about DAVID CONROY (Current Irish CX Champ) and MICHELLE GEOGHEGAN (Silver medal at the National CX Champs 2020) representing Team Ireland in the Cyclo-Cross Worldcup in Namur (Belgium). This was possible due to both living in Belgium at the moment, unfortunately, none other from Ireland could be selected due to restrictions, as they would have to travel from Ireland. At least we have some Irish participation !! We are lucky to have a guest photographer at the event this Sunday with our Belgian Project volunteer and adopted mum Martine Verfaillie. Martine use to look after David for many years, but David now lives with his girlfriend in the south of Belgium ( French spoken part called the Wallonie) Martine is there to look after SOPHIE WRIGHT from Great Britain, who lives with Martine for the CX season and our good friend will do her best to get us some photos of the event. Michelle lives in the Flanders and has been racing in the UCI CX events since the start of the season. Both races have nearly 70 entries, it will be a hard task as Michelle and David starting from the back row, but at least we have someone there to fly the green colours. We wish them a safe and successsful race (All photos courtesy of Martine)
