45th Tour of the Alps (2.Pro) Stage 2: Innsbruck >> Feichten im Kaunertal (121.5km)

Simon Yates (BikeExchange) has taken over the lead in the Tour of the Alps. The Briton drove his competitors out of the wheel on the penultimate climb and takes the lead in the general classification. Pavel Sivakov and Dan Martin joined the podium.
In a ride of just 121 kilometers, Yates waited to attack with 23km to go, this on the Kaunergrat-Piller Sattel, the penultimate climb of the day. He soon shook off Quintana and Carthy.
Sivakov was able to hold on for the longest, but the Brit’s bonus quickly increased to 45 seconds. He did not collapse anymore and took his first win of the season. Sivakov finished second, Daniel Martin won the sprint for third place. Nicolas Roche (DSM) came in a group over the finish line about 3minutes down on Simon and is now 25th in the GC
