The Christmas morning TT has been a tradition for Ards CC for over 40 years, and once again is open to entries >> https://eventmaster.ie/event/rbmWUPmS9y << Some riders take part for a bit of fun, adding decoration to their bikes and swapping the speedsuits for Santa costumes. Other testers take things much more seriously competing for the Jardine Trophy which is presented to the fastest rider on the day. Christmas being the time for giving, entry is free, but each rider is encouraged to bring a small gift. First rider off at 10 am on Christmas morning from the national speed limit signs on Portaferry Road on the way out of Ards: https://w3w.co/lighters.logbook.glance, with the finish opposite the start.

Round 5 of the National Cyclo-cross Series will take place Jenkinstown on Sunday 30th of December 2023. This is a pre-registation only event with entries closing on Friday 28th of December at 8 pm. The 2024 National Cyclo-cross Championships will take place at Limerick Racecourse, Greenmount Park,Patrickswell, Co.Limerick
Eircode V94 K858 hosted by Greenmount Academy. On Saturday 13 January there will be non-championship races for Under 6s, Under 8s, Under 10s and Under 12s. There will also be championship races for Under 14s, Under 16s, M50s and M60s. On Sunday 14 January there will be championship races for: Women (combined Jnr + Snr), Masters Women, Junior Men, Senior Men and M40. There are also team awards for the following categories: U14s, U16s, Senior Men, M40 and M50. The promised change in operational matters of High Performance becomes real, as the new board of CI appoints Iain Dyer as High-Performance Director…he has the experience of 5 Olympic’s and coached the likes of Sir Chris Hoy and Jason Kenny, and was a big part of the huge success of the GB-Team in the last few decades, his previous employer!!

The sleepy village of Knockaderry (Newcastle West -Limerick) and the Longcourt Hotel-Newcastle West Wheelers hosted the “2023 Michael Shiels & Darach McCarthy & Co. Solicitors Road Races” last Sunday (19th March) Jason Kenny (UCD Cycling Team) took his first win of the season, and for Linda Kelly (Spin the Bean Power by Coffee) it was already her second victory this season!! Fran Brannigan (Slievenamon CC) wins the Master/A4 race…the results>>>
