Their donation will be used in our summer bursary funds, and expenses in our 16th year of operating”

Black Quay Consulting (Black Quay) is an industry-leading provider of advanced port planning, engineering and specialist advisory services around the world. The company is based in Australia, but also has presence in the United States and the United Kingdom, and their projects span the globe.
The company offers port planning & optimization, terminal simulation, trade studies, fleet forecasting, transaction due diligence, and engineering design services to the investment and maritime sectors.
Black Quay have been involved in some of the world’s most iconic port development strategies and port masterplans including for the Port of New York & New Jersey, the Port of Melbourne, South Australia, Western Australia, New Zealand’s North Island, Vancouver, and Tasmania. Black Quay was founded by County Down man Glen Curry (North Down Cycling Club) who originally set up the company in Australia. Spending more time Ireland, Glen got back into cycling, having previously ridden mountain bike trials in the 1990’s, winning British Elite and European Trials titles for teams including Gary Fisher-Shimano, Heavy Tools and Megamo-NSE.
