UCD Cycling Club has paid tribute its member John Walsh, He was seriously injured in the incident and taken to Beaumont Hospital where he later died. John is survived by his wife, Olivia, three sons – Andrew, Rowan, and Morgan – and his parents, Norman and Anne, brothers Niall and Louis and sister Helen. The death of John comes less than a year after another member of the UCD Cycling Club, Gabriele Glodenyte, died in a road crash in Dublin. It said that he was “a crucial part of the club’s activities especially during his time as a student when he was club captain, and had taken out his licence to race again in the club colours this year, we will deeply miss John who was always to be seen ripping up the corners of Mondello on a Tuesday night. Our sincere condolences to John’s wife, children, family and friends. May the wind be always at your back, RIP.” (Feature photo RTE  pic: RIP.ie & Photo above Sean Rowe)
