First Road Race of the season will be on the Sham Loop in Irvinestown.
Parking for the event is at Sacred Heart Chapel and St. Paul’s Primary School on the Lisnarick Road (check Strava Route below for full details).
A League RR1 will consist of 4 Laps of the Sham Loop. Total Distance: 50km / 31miles
B League RR1 will consist of 3 Laps of the Sham Loop. Total Distance: 37.5km / 24miles

The Wallace Caldwell Memorial Road Race 2024 ( Sat 20th April) will take on a new format with racing across all categories. The course for this year will be the BRC Ahoghill circuit with taking fast descents, short punchy climbs and undulating back roads being the order of the day. A1/A2 Race – approx 65 miles & A3/A4 Race – approx 48 miles…entry open on https://eventmaster.ie/event/MdLLTbdiBz The Belgian Project will attend for the commentary and photos!!

“What a fabulous opportunity to go to Belgium this summer and an experience I will never forget!!” Joseph Mullen (Navan RC) tells me his story as 2023 BP graduate, his successful trip to Portugal in June, his Irish Champs and Junior Tour, and most off all about his summer racing in Belgium, his guest parents, his fellow Irish BP graduates, and his experience to “Live the Dream” and be an ambassador for the Belgian Project, and Irish Cycling…(Thursday 31st August)
