Report of the CI website: “In what proved to be an exceptional weekend for Irish cyclists, Ronan Dunne claimed his first UCI Downhill World Cup victory in Bielsko-Biala, Poland. The Co. Wicklow rider continues to shine on the international stage, having won the infamous Red Bull Hardline in Tasmania at the beginning of the year.The World Cup series adding to the Irish success, Oisin O’Callaghan finished 10th in the same event in Fort William, Scotland at the beginning of May where Dunne finished 11th in the final.

NextAdam Rafferty wins the first round of the “Ernie Magwood Super 6” in an amazing time of 18m24sec on Thursday the 23rd May at Frosses Balymena. 4 men went under the 20min barrier, including Seth Dunwoody, Ian Inglis and Curtis Neill. Hazel Smith first women, with Aliyah Rafferty close to her heels!!

Several hundred people came to Skerries (Co-Dublin) saying goodbye to Craig Sweetman, a well loved popular cyclist, fireman, ex airport policeman, father of Toby and Tyler, and husband to Gillian, who passed away suddenly last Sunday (20th July) A morning of emotions, colourful clothing, massive support from his workmates at the airport, his cycling friends, and family…RIP & Suaimhneas síoraí Craig (1973-2025)
