Today the Irish Cycling Community said goodbye to Jack Watson MBE, UCI International Commissaire, UCI Antidoping Inspector, UCI Gold Merit Award, UEC Merit Award,CI former president, honorary secretary, and co-founder of Cycling Ireland. A big turn out filled the Trinity Presbyterian Church to the rafters, this in his hometown Bangor Co-Down, for a celebration of his life (Mon 5th August)

They came from all corners of Ireland, to say goodbye to a man that touched many of us lives all over the world, his commissaire colleagues in their dozens, former and current presidents of CI, representatives of all cycling federations of Ireland, and the many friends he made in life. Rest in Peace Jack, it was an honour, and privilege to have known you, and my heart goes out to Rea his wife for over 60 years, his sons Paul and Alan, his grandchildren, and close family.
