Cycling Ireland is pleased to open expressions of interest for riders interested in competing in the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup in Dublin on Sunday, 1st of December. This is the third consecutive year a round of the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup has been held on the Sport Ireland Campus in Dublin. The event gives Irish riders a brilliant opportunity to compete against some of the world’s best riders on home soil. Riders may submit an expression of interest to race in any of the following events: Male and Female Junior, Male and Female Under 23, Male and Female Elite.The panel have discretion to nominate riders to race as part of an Ireland selection or as an Independent / Club Team rider as per clarification notes to stated selection aims.
Expression of interests close on Monday, 11th of November 2024 at 8 pm.
The deadline for entries is Monday, 25th of November 2024.

Selection Aims
Selection Aim 1: Select riders that are competitive for top 10
Selection Aim 2: Select riders that are capable of benefitting from this UCI level of racing exposure towards being top 10 competitive in the future at UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup (or discipline equivalent e.g. Road Nations Cup, MTB World Cup etc.) level within a two year period
Selection Aim 3: Select riders that have evidenced performance standards and progression this 2024/2025 Cyclo-cross Season, in order of priority, at:
1st. International UCI ranked events – at home & abroad
2nd. CI National CX Series and/or GB equivalent
3rd. Domestic Provincial level races & leagues

Every rider submitting an EOI will be considered on demonstrated on merit soley! Selections will be made by the Cycling Ireland Offroad Commission in consultation with Cycling Ireland High Performance Unit (HPU) No rider will gain automatic selection irrespective of Palmares or results!! The panel will select based on verifiable information submitted. Counting events for establishing performance level are Dublin World Cup 2023, National Championships 2023/2024, European and World Championships 2023/2024 and all races in current 2024/2025 domestic and international season. Riders are wholly responsible to include all relevant information in their EOI in the agreed format for submission: not included = not considered. Junior and Under 23 Riders will be selected as a National Squad, and will race in Ireland kit as per UCI regulation requirement. Senior Riders may be selected as independent entrants should the panel deem inadequate depth in performance standard to merit composing National Elite Squads.There is no obligation to fill all slots allocated to Ireland by the event organiser and the UCI – this is at the discretion of the panel based on performance level of applicants
