The “B9 Energy Storage Tour of Ards” on Saturday 15th March, starting at 10 am in the village of Portaferry (Strangford Lough) County Down with a iconic finish at Windmill Hill. The B9 Energy Storage Tour of Ards 2025 will start at 10 am from Portaferry GAC (3 Ballyfounder Rd, BT22 1NS) and finishes at the top of Windmill Hill. We will have two races – Note change to race formats:

  • C1/C2 doing 4 large laps ~68 miles, with handicap start
  • a separate C3 race doing 3 large laps ~51 miles.

This was held in sunny Poyntzpass Co-Down yesterday (Sun 9th March) and promoted by Newry Wheelers (Belgian Project *club support sponsor*) Well done to 1st year junior James Armstrong (WP Molenspurters -Meulebeke BEL) for his second C3 win this weekend, and Donegal winner Odhran Doogan -Caldwell Cycles in the C1-C2 race. Aine Doherty- Dan Morrissey Pissei won the “Mc Kinley Contracts Shield” as first women crossing the line!!
