Registration is open for this year’s National Championships but will close on Thursday 3rd July at 12 noon SHARP.

The Shimna Sportive is back again for 2025. Our 80km option takes you through the scenic roads of County Down including the ‘S’ bends of Spelga! Our Sportive offers stunning scenery, a challenging route, good organisation and great hospitality. Registration will open at 8:00 with the riders setting off from Bryansford GAC, Castlewellan Road at 9:00am. Cycling Ireland license required to participate. Non Cycling Ireland members can purchase a 1 day license for £9. Entrants are required to sign-on between 8am – 8.55am with cycle departing at 9:00am. Please bring some proof of purchase and CI license for sign-on. The route includes a water & toilet stop and a generous food stop at halfway point and sandwiches served at the finish. Price £20. Previous(Day 2) Sunday 29th June “The 2025 Irish National Road Race Championships” The Men Elite & U23’s results on the final day of fast racing on a very demanding course in the heart of the Boyne Valley in Co-Meath. Well done to Rory Townsend (Elite),whom also received the “Sean Nolan Cup” and Jamie Meehan (U23), with a thank you to all the riders, who have giving it all to entertain us immensely!!
