ONE OF OUR TOP CYCLING COACHES IN IRELAND IS NO MORE.
And this on the day the Tour de France 2021 had its first stage…I met Paddy around 2009 and I was mesmerised by his Dublin accent and his wit of all things in life. He told me about his career of cycling and in later life his coaching….very impressive stuff which brought him lots of winners and a very in-demand coach…Even had a spell as a High-performance coach for the National team…Paddy told it as it was and his humor typical for a Dubliner. I remember one day I was with my wife Maggie in Dublin walking over the bridge of the Liffey and someone shouted…what is a Belgian doing in Dublin…I looked around and it was Paddy…I told him I was looking for the Italian restaurant of Roman Morelli and he directed us to where the restaurant was…told us it was easy to found…just look for a shop called “Fifty shades of Grey &Spice of life” and you nearly there..lol…So proud that I have known Paddy…it has made my life a bit richer…our condolences to his wife and family…May he rest in Peace
