Foreword Dany: “I know Niamh for about 7 years now, and even longer her family, and her older sister Shenna, who was also a successful off-road and track rider, now a firefighter and still competitive in cycling (Multiple Irish Champ in both disciplines) and the first ever girl to receive a BP bursary. Niamh is certainly a highly skilled and diverse off-road rider, and in her junior years a favourite in each race she competed with wins in CX and XC, with her team Scott Bright Motor Group, that is going places with the best of Ireland in their ranks, a development team who give the riders time to get better! Niamh who is only 21 years old has raced internationally for a few years, but her Enduro career is new to her, and yes…she takes it like a fish in the water…She got her BP medal and bursary in 2019 as a junior and well deserved too, her dedication and perseverance to get better, her hunger for experience, and willing to learn has put her on a higher step on the ladder of her beloved sport…When I found out that Niamh got a brilliant result in Italy, I got in touch, and here below her story of the last months…as a stylist she can handle a scissor, as a cyclist she certainly handle her bikes too!! So proud of you, it gives fuel to what I try to do, and Niamh is certainly part of this!!!
WOW… what a fantastic season and year its been for me riding my bike through 2 disciplines Enduro and XC (Niamh Mc Kiverigan reports)
I have had some amazing experiences this year,from competing in my local Enduro’s and Cross Country races to hitting the podiums, then travelling over to Tweed valley for my first Enduro World Series competition
to then competing for Ireland at the Trophy of Nations in Finale Italy which i came 16th in the elite category,
this was a monster of a day, as it was over 7 hrs in the saddle with some of the most toughest transitions and trails I have ever ridden, technical steep, and distances that I have never experienced before in my first year of Enduro but i cant wait to get back at it again, and do even better in the coming years.
Thanks to @cyclingireland off road communication and to Al @trail_advisor for taking and supporting the team and giving me the opportunity to go away to Italy and compete for Ireland. @kristianmullin for helping me out while I was away and also to @hannahmullin05 and the rest of the team for the great company while riding around the trails. ☘️ >>>
