The Armagh Criterium hosted by Orchard CC started off the Crit season in perfect weather conditions, light winds and a pleasantly May evening at the Marlacoo Lake near Markethill (Co-Armagh) Throw in some attacks, a handicap between the A3’s and the A2’s, some primes to make it interesting, an early break, and the amazing performance of Junior Conor Murphy (Team Caldwell Cycles) who lapped the whole field with ease, it was more a case who gonna be second (which was Bryan Mc Crystal-Bellurgan Wheelers, who is launching a come back to road racing, and shows his class again) and another come back kid called Cameron McIntyre (Banbridge Cycling Club) in 3rd. Result below in the photos, including the prime winners…Well done to Orchard CC, well worth the drive, and see you all on Saturday in Richhill for the Groucho’s GP, a roller coaster with a venomous climb as finish. Also another criterium this Friday in Banbridge (10th May) to go to, a big one as it is also the Irish and Ulster Criterium Championships…and this with a star studded field…no rest for the wicked, regards, Dany B and Jerome off-course!!
