This May Bank Holiday weekend sees the return of the Victus Tour of Ulster. The 2019 Victus Tour of Ulster is due to welcome back some of Ireland’s finest cyclists into the town of Banbridge in Co. Down to relive their ‘fight for pink’, with the race leader being awarded the coveted Pink Jersey. The Victus Tour of Ulster is one of Ireland’s longest established races. Established in 1957, the race is attracting elite riders from across Europe, Ireland & the UK. This year sees the introduction of the Fleetwise A2 Classification jersey awarded to the best placed A2 cyclists on the final day. Neil O’Brien, chairman of the host company, Victus Energy said he is delighted to be involved with the ‘Victus Tour of Ulster’. “We are delighted to take this opportunity to show our commitment to the people of Northern Ireland and to develop our long-term relationship with Ireland’s most famous cycling race. Victus is very proud to be involved with the Tour of Ulster and to secure high-quality racing in Northern Ireland. We welcome Fabraco on board this year as the sponsor of the Young Rider Classification, giving the youth in this country a fighting chance of competing for an award on Monday.” Event Organiser Garry Nugent said he is delighted to welcome back on board Victus Energy, the title sponsor of this year’s Victus Tour of Ulster. “It is great to secure sponsorship from such a committed company. I am also delighted to base the Victus Tour of Ulster in the town of Banbridge for this year’s event. Banbridge and the surrounding area has a rich history in cycling and has produced numerous cyclists of the highest quality over the years. This year’s course is extremely difficult and will challenge any fitting winner. I have both trained and raced on a lot of the roads used in this year’s race and know first-hand how tough and deceiving they can be.” For full race details, check out for more details on the route and riders or why not follow us on Twitter @TourUlster / Facebook Victus Tour of Ulster for regular updates.
