The Kilmore lad from Co-Down is growing confidence and we will hear more about him in the future. Another Irish U/21 was Jack Devlin who was 18th and Women U/21 competitor Leah Maunsell was 1st in that category. In the EWS100 men Under 21 ENNIS Ross IRL won his event (Report and photos from the Armstrong Family below, video courtesy of the Enduro world series website)

Drew Armstrong travelled to Round three of the Enduro World Series in Madeira, which saw two days of incredible racing across some of the most diverse trails imaginable – from roots and rocks to loamy berms and exposed, cliff top trails high above the Atlantic Ocean. With over 60km of pedalling and over 3600m of descent, riders were pushed to the limit as they headed into some of the most remote parts of the island, far from the race village in the Machico Marina.   He crashed on the last stage of the first day losing valuable time but the following day he attacked hard with the 9th position on stage 4 fighting back to finish 16th in the U21 Category at the end of eight hot and physical stages beneath a searing Portuguese sun. (Report from mum Gillian Armstrong)
