A very busy “end week” in the West of Ireland starting tonight with the National Criterium Champs, this held at the Pallas Karting Track in Tynagh (Co- Galway) and for the first time ever the National Crit for women incorporated in the event!! An impressive starting list here below and in the men’s race the National Crit Champ of 2018 Dillon Corkery (Bioracer-DHL-FR services) is back to defend his title. Dillon is a bursary holder of the Belgian Project and has prepared himself in June with some races in Belgium to acquire some speed needed for tonight and with the strong support of his team my tip for the win!. The feature photo is Dillon racing a kermesse in the Flanders and taken by his guest mum Martine Verfaillie. In the women’s race, my tip would be Ellen Mc Dermott (Boompods NL) who competed in the British Crit series and just finished the Dublin Track International. We wish all the competitor’s good luck. Also fair play to the organiser Mick Ruane and his volunteers of the Galway Bay CC for promoting this and wish them lots of success!
