Particularly sad news from the cycling world: Bjorg Lambrecht died after a fall in the Tour of Poland. The Lotto-Soudal rider was resuscitated after a fall but died later in hospital. Lambrecht was 22 years old.
Around 5 pm today (5th August) ominous news came from Poland. According to a tweet from the organization, Bjorg Lambrecht was resuscitated after a fall and was taken to the hospital.
There was hardly any information about the circumstances of the fall, but according to Polish media, Lambrecht fell against a concrete sewer pipe. 
At 6 pm tonight the terrible news was confirmed that Lambrecht died as a result of the crash.
The second-year neo-pro broke through this spring at Lotto-Soudal, this with numerous top 10 places in the Ardennes classics. He became 5th in the Brabantse Pijl, 6th in the Amstel Gold Race and 4th in the Waalse Pijl. Climbing talent Lambrecht became 12th in June in the Dauphiné and received the white jersey from the best youngster. Last year he became 2nd at the World Cup for Under 23’s
