I have been using a few of Brendan’s photo’s on occasions when the races are too far for me to visit, and to colour the reports I made of these races. The Killarney man did athletics in his younger days and a little photography but really took to the cycling when following his sibling at his races, which lead to getting more and more photos done of the sport. Brendan told me: “To me, cycling is the most colourful sport to photograph and gruelling. Ras Mumhan at easter is my favourite race of the year and will really miss this one. I try to capture the pain and beauty of the sport the best I can..hope ye enjoy and mind yourselves over this spell of isolation” Thanks Brendan…outstanding photo’s with a soul (Feature photo of Brendan courtesy of John Hammer)
