Cian told us last week “Really excited to announce that I’ll be joining the Willebrord Wil Vooruit team for next year in The Netherlands under their new u23 outfit. Lots of UCI U23/ Elite racing planned in Europe. It’s a big step up for me but I felt that this is a necessary step. The likes of Thomas De Ghent, Groenewegen have come through their system so the pressure is on! Fingers crossed all goes well. I’d like to thank my current Road team Spellman / Dublin Port Cycling Team for what they made into a fantastic year under the current circumstances. It was nice to come together with guys from all around the country, gel well, and get stuck into some races with team tactics and a race plan every time. Sometimes things didn’t work out but I think it’s fair to say that a lot went right with the team winning the Leinster Champs, Criterium Champs, National Team Pursuit, and other National/ Provincial medals in Track/ Munster/ Leinster/ UlsterWe wish him a great and successful time in Holland as he is in a team who develop riders to the max…Full Gass Cian!!

I’m also happy to announce that I will continue with SDP as we have now registered as a UCI Professional Track Team. 3 Nations Cups on the planner in Wales, Hong Kong, and Columbia. Head down for the winter into the new year!
