Our friends from Phoenix Cc in Belfast just announced the inevitable news: It is with regret that the Committee of Phoenix Cycling Club has made the decision to cancel the 2021 Phoenix GP which was due to be held on 7th March 2021. With the COVID-19 lockdown not due to end until at least the 5th March 2021, there is too much uncertainty about what restrictions will be in place on race day. This combined with the huge logistical challenge of getting all the resources in place to put on a large racing event among this uncertainty has made the decision inevitable. We sincerely hope that some racing events will be possible for other clubs later in the 2021 season and we look forward to seeing our friends from around the country when racing resumes

A right decision in such uncertain times, what other choices you have …as safety for us all is the first concern and rightly so…so sorry the club had to make such announcements …there will be next year all going well!!
