ATROCIOUS WEATHER, BRISK WINDS, AND 17 TIMES TACKLING A COBBLESTONED HILL AT END OF EACH LAP!!

Thoroughly enjoyed watching this stage today… this pro-women can motor on alright…in the last hour of the race a strong break formed with all the favourites present…lots of attacks but the solo one of Lonneke Uneken with about 4 laps to go was the winning one…for a moment she was the virtual leader on the road, but the chasers hauled in second by second with a Lisa Brennauer counter-attack and chased by the leader Ellen Van Dijk, Lisa Klein, and a few SD Worx girls…they came close, close enough for Ellen to keep her yellow but not to danger the stage win of this brave Dutch youngster Lonneke. It was her first pro-win and deservedly chuffed with herself as it was a race close to her home too!!
